If you are reading this at the office, on the plane, in the hotel room, or on break, take a minute and breathe. This is for you because you have a heart that has been bleeding for a while due to a wound that just won't heal. Your success in business has been having a placebo effect, but there are some who can see the bleeding of your heart. If you won't take it to a counselor, take it to Jesus, the most awesome Counselor. You deserve to live, not just exist !  Read John 10:10

Psalm 22:12-13
June 23, 2018

On my recent trip Israel, I saw and heard many things, too many to name here. The Bible opened up wide and many of the blanks were filled in. One of the things that struck me is that Israel has enemies on every side. Inside her borders she has enemies, and outside her borders she has enemies.
But, one image resonated with me. We drove through a vicinity called Bashan and there were several bulls lying on the grass. The bulls of Bashan. Many words came to me that day but I did not write them down. I just pondered what I saw. I was too busy allowing the Holy Spirit to speak to me, so I was not interested in hearing my own thoughts.
But this morning many of those thoughts rolled back over me like the dew on Mt. Hermon.
Two of the great successes of Israel lie in that God is for them, and that the people of Israel have determined that they will never again be that weak or scared person from 75 years ago.

What determinations have you made concerning the way forward for your life? If God is for you, make sure you are not against yourself and that you are not surrounded by bulls of Bashan who are against you and lie quietly in the grass waiting to tear you apart.

Psalm 22:12  says prophetically of Jesus :
"Many bulls surround me; strong bulls of Bashan encircle me."

I saw those strong bulls in Bashan and they were lying quietly but they have strength to do great harm.

I prophesy today against every spirit of Bashan that has been sent to tear you apart and destroy you with their brutal strength. They will turn back and lose their way by the power of God.

Ruth...another great Old Testament narrative.  Overall, a blessed impartation of the picture of Jesus and the sweet way He redeems us from the hardships of sin and pain to himself, the bread of life.
Read it with your family. You will definitely enjoy this book of the Bible.
4 chapters of redemption.

Having read and meditated on the powerful letter of Apostle Paul to the church at Colossae while he was in prison in Rome, I was brought in the spirit to the day of my salvation and how it was that same supremacy of Jesus Christ that brought me salvation and rescued me from the powers of darkness.

Fall 1997. I had an awakening that the lousy life I was living wasn't worth a nickel the way I was living it . But, I did not know nor had anyone told me about my true value. All the palm readers and dangerous tarot card readers and cowery shells and cigar puffs and phone psychics were all demonic familiar spirits telling me lies and showing me Satanic manifestations. I knew they were lies, and I did not believe any of them but I did not know where to find truth.

I had been cheated by a false god. His name is Satan. I needed a TRUE SAVIOR. The powers of darkness had overwhelmed me. The cords of death were tightening around my neck. I was trapped and dark powers were dragging me deeper and deeper into a dark pit. I kept hearing the words, "kill yourself" No one loves you. Kill yourself"
But, how to get out from the pit? How to loose the cords that tied me up so tightly? I had no clue. That fall night in 1997, having lost everything and about to lose my mind, Jesus Christ came to my rescue and saved me. He threw out every demon that was tormenting my life. He told me to learn about Him beginning in Genesis because I did not know anything about Him. When I got to Deuteronomy 6 verses 4-7, God spoke to my heart. He told me I was to tell people: that God alone is God and He is to be loved completely above anything or anyone, and that I was to talk about Him constantly.

This may be the same testimony of millions upon millions of people over the centuries in every part of the world and every social and financial status who have been rescued from the power of sin and Satan and are now zealous Christians like me. There is no one else who can rescue you from Satan and depression and oppression and sadness and hopelessness and lostness. I testify to you today that JESUS CHRIST is the only real power in this world. He saved and delivered me and He will do it for you.

I have kept God's assignment to me, and God has been faithful to me even when I have been hated, humiliated, mocked and ridiculed by many for talking about Jesus Christ more than life itself. Nothing is greater to me than the supremacy of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

I pray that your home be a generous channel of God's blessings, forgiveness, love, and hope to all the persons around you!

Meditating on Colossians 4

May 17, 2018
Colossians 3:12

Since we have been made alive in Jesus Christ through salvation and we are no longer enemies of God, that truth changes everything.

Salvation is a change of our relationship with God, a change of life, a change of desires, a change of heart, a change of destination, and a change of garment.  We have put off the things that God is not pleased with and taken on what pleases God. We are now clothed with a new nature, new characteristics, new attributes, and new knowledge of God through Jesus Christ.

We have become holy, we have become chosen people, we are loved greatly by God. In response we humble ourselves, we experience compassion for people in ways that we have never experienced it before. We now walk in patience (tough at times) and gentleness (a must)

12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

Colossians 2: 9-10

These two verses of Scriptures  are so awesome that they make your heart come alive. in Jesus we saw all that God is. Sinless, powerful, full of authority, patient, kind, attentive, holy, righteous, not a man -pleaser, slow to anger, great in mercy, always teaching and strengthening, not allowing any false understanding to prevail,  being strong with those who opposed Him and yet very gracious to those who honored Him.  As Christians, we are united with Jesus and we lack nothing because we are in Jesus who is the fullness of God. Let that sink in for a while.

"For in Him, bodily, lives the fullness of all that God is. 10 And it is in union with Him that you have been made full — He is the head of every rule and authority.

 Song of Solomon 2:14-15
April 26, 2018
Beloved, Jesus is with you. He loves you and He will not leave you to suffer. I pray that every evil eye that is monitoring your life for destruction will not harm you, in the name of Jesus.

In Song of Solomon chapter 2 verse 15 it is written:  “Catch the foxes for us, yes, the little foxes! They are ruining the vineyards when our vineyards are in bloom!”

The woman in verse 15 was speaking to her love in verse 14. That love is Jesus. The woman is every Christian. She was telling him that some disturbing and destructive things had made their way into her fields. That means that she was a person who was profitable and owned things of value that attracted attention. She told her love that not only were the little foxes eating the vines, but they were eating them when they were in bloom. Vines are where goodness grows from the soil up. Vines represent structure and reach. Nothing grows upward and outward except it first grows on some vine or branch of sort.  Blooms mean the goodness of God in your life that everyone can visibly see. Even one bloom on a vine signifies health, willingness, growth, and the plan to yield.

Vines without blooms mean symbols without fulfillment. That means that the soil of your life is excellent and ready to fulfill, but what it produces is easily killed and done away with while it is in its young stages. That is unacceptable, so ask Jesus to divinely intervene against it.
Satan sends evil spirits into your life when everything begins to bloom and become ready to bear fruit and yield crops and harvests. That means that he has been monitoring your life for a while. Satan is not omniscient (does not know everything). He is not omnipotent (not all powerful). He is not omnipresent (cannot be everywhere at the same time) Only Almighty God is all three. But, the Bible describes Satan as a roamer. What he knows, he knows by observation and by whatever other methods he uses. So, now that things are beginning to bloom, he released demons (little foxes) to spoil things for you.

This is a prophetic word for someone this midnight. If you will just release your faith and open your mouth and call on Jesus, He will destroy every plan of the evil one against your business, your relationships, your ministry, and whatever else is good in your life. Jesus told us to pray in Matthew 6:13: "And do not lead us into hard testing, but keep us safe from the Evil One. For kingship, power and glory are yours forever."

Get on your knees and pray with faith to Jesus to catch the little evil foxes that are spoiling, killing, or attempting to kill the good things that are growing in the soil of your life. Fight in the Holy Spirit until those little foxes are driven out of your vineyard. Ask Jesus to restore what the enemy has already eaten away and bring those things back to full bloom and beyond.
I agree with you in prayer to Jesus Christ.

Reading the first 14 chapters of Proverbs sharpens the rough edged of our thinking and refines our inner thoughts. What makes the verses of each chapter so powerful is that God does not seek to make our errors seem minimal and harmless. God shows us that the most awesome way to  get things done is to get them done through His viewpoint. God's gives wisdom as a both a road map and a filter.

God places the good and the evil, the negative and the positive in the same verse. In that way, God writes ahead of our thinking knowing that we need to know that the opposite of power is powerlessness, and the opposite of wise decisions is foolishness.

Acts and Proverbs
Power + Wisdom = Manifestation of God's grace upon your life.

Genesis 37:10-11

Reading about Joseph being sold into slavery by his brothers because of their jealousy towards God's revealed  plan for his life, we see that God can use something as cruel as jealousy to bring you to a higher place, both in the natural and in the spiritual.

Joseph had to embrace God's providential plan, even when the journey to promotion is very uncomfortable. So must we. Just because you are getting push-back from some people, ridicule from others, and mocking from those you least expected, do not look at yourself as if you have done something wrong. Even if you did tell someone the great things God showed you in  a dream or vision, remember that God has been doing that with His people for thousands of years. You did not do anything wrong by telling someone what God showed you. You are not the first person to share a dream or vision with others. So, you won't be the last to get an awful dose of jealousy coming back your way to make you look like a fool for telling them what God showed you.

You just write down what God showed you or told you. God may use jealous people with wicked intentions to promote His plan for both you and them. God is a loving God and wants good for all, even those who live to make the lives of other people unbearable because of jealousy.

Think of jealousy as the words or actions that  come from someone who wants to be you and can't be you, so the sight and sound of you makes them want you to disappear or to come to nothing. Instead of seeking God for His ordained plan and blessings for their own lives, they seek and move to to destroy the innocent who share God's goodness out loud.

Remember what the Bible says about  jealousy "Fury is cruel and anger overwhelming, but who can stand up to jealousy? Proverbs 27:4

Genesis 37 talks about Joseph, a person on whom God's unusual favor rested. His family did not see him as God saw him. So when he shared what God told him, his brothers used jealousy to sell him into slavery. They thought that if they got rid of the person, they would truncate the prophecy. No one can destroy the work of God in creation, nor can anyone destroy God's plan for your life. For that we give Him glory and praise. Hallelujah!

No jealousy from friends or enemies will make God change His mind to use you powerfully for a good work, even it takes years to come to pass. Hold on to what God has told you or shown by the power of the Holy Spirit and get ready to pass through some very uncomfortable situations at the hands of jealous family, friends and enemies.
10 When he described it to his father and brothers, his father scolded him and said to him, “What kind of dreams have you dreamed? Am I and your mother and your brothers supposed to come and bow down to the ground in front of you?” 11 His brothers were jealous of him, but his father took careful note of the matter. Genesis 37

Genesis 33;3

Jacob prostrated himself 7 times before his brother Esau. Laying flat on the ground before Esau meant that Jacob knew that he was at the complete mercy of Esau after what he had done to Esau more than 20 years before.

Receiving forgiveness can sometimes be awkward. But humility wins where there has been an offense. Genesis 33:3

Is there someone in your life who offended you deeply years ago and you are struggling to forgive them? The solution is not simple, but it is the only one that will last. Humble yourself and ask the person to forgive you. Don't explain why you did it or make it about you. You need them to forgive you for your wrongs, so make it about them.

Jacob and Esau knew the awful thing Jacob has done earlier in life. But, at the time of forgiveness apportioning  blame does not work. The offender must submit to the need for the offended to be healed and made whole just as Jesus did on the cross for the many offenses we committed against Him. He did not apportion blame. He apportioned humility and mercy.

Genesis 32:24-30
February 2, 2018

There are some specific blessings for which God's grace has already paved the way but you will have to wrestle in prayer, struggle and win to receive them.

"Then some man wrestled with him until daybreak. When he saw that he did not defeat Jacob he struck Jacob's hip socket, so that his hip was dislocated while wrestling with him. The man said, “Let me go, because it’s daybreak.” But Jacob replied, “I won’t let you go unless you bless me.” The man asked, “What is your name?” and he answered, “Jacob ” Then the man said, “From now on, you will no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; because you have shown your strength to both God and men and have prevailed.”

Genesis 22
January 22, 2018

In December 2017 God spoke a word to me that as Christians we are more effective evangelists and ambassadors of the kingdom when we understand the process of how we moved from idyllic Eden to this hectic, fallen world in which we now live.

So, we started our journey of understanding in the book of Genesis. Our 2018 study theme for Genesis is "Jesus in Genesis"

In Genesis 22 verse 14 Abraham spoke to God on Mt. Moriah and called God, Adonai Yireh. That means that On the mountain, Adonai ( Lord, Lord God) is seen.

Abraham was a prophet, but he did not know that the words coming out of his mouth at that time were not just for that time. Thousands of year later, what he said on the mountain in the moment came to pass in fullness.

As  Christians we are all under the New Covenant by the blood and body of Jesus. So, we who have been so empowered  by Jesus Christ to be counted worthy of inheriting the kingdom of God have power with God with our words. Some of you reading this are like prophets of God. When you speak, your words have power i the moment, but those same words may live beyond you. God will fulfill them after your generation, and even after your death. That is why children of God must not be careless with the words coming out of our mouths, most especially when we talk about God or His kingdom.

Genesis 22 verse 14: Avraham called the place Adonai Yir’eh [Adonai will see (to it), Adonai provides] — as it is said to this day, “On the mountain Adonai is seen.”

Thousands of years later on the same mountain, maybe at  he same spot where Abraham was about to offer up Isaac as a sacrifice and instead saw a ram in the bush with its horns caught in the bushes, Jesus who was arrested and nailed to a cross, was crucified and His "horns' were exalted.

December 30, 2017
As you come to the end of another year, take time to reflect on how far God has brought you and how faithful the Lord Almighty God has been to you.

Whatever goodness you received from Him in 2017, praise Him. Whatever sadness you experienced in 2017, lean on Him going forward to give you strength and wisdom to overcome that lingering issue. Whatever things were not fulfilled in 2017, trust God that His plan is perfect.

But, in all things give thanks unto the Lord because He is good and His mercies last forever. It was God who kept you in 2017. Satan had many plans to harm you, but God kept you. The year may have been challenging, but God kept you. The year may have been splendid. It was God who kept you.

A new year lies before you. In it you will be also be challenged.  But, what the Lord taught you in 2017 will serve you well in 2018.

Our Father in heaven, according to your good and perfect will, let 2018 come, and with it, let your Holy Spirit raise up a standard for your children. Thank you for being God who is all sufficient, all powerful, all knowing, and everywhere at the same time.  The glory of our lives we give to you, in Jesus name.
I pray that in 2018 you will experience blessings and thoughtfulness that will outshine 2017. God be with you.

From disciple to betrayer-a slippery slope of hate and unbelief
Matthew 26
December 26, 2017

Looking at Judas' decline from disciple to betrayer, he kept calling Jesus "Rabbi" even when the other disciples had begun to call Jesus their Lord. That brings to mind the Scripture in which it is written that no one can call Jesus, Lord, except by the Holy Spirit.
(I Corinthians 12:3) "Therefore, I want to make it clear to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God ever says, “Jesus is cursed!” and no one can say, “Jesus  is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit."

The word of God cannot lie. It is only a matter of time before what is hidden in a person's heart concerning the things of God will be spoken from their mouths.

That is why it is written in Romans 10:10 " For with the heart one goes on trusting and thus continues toward righteousness, while with the mouth one keeps on making public acknowledgement and thus continues toward deliverance."

Take some quiet time and search your heart today. Ask God to expose known or unknown spiritual  toxicities. Pray to have your heart cleansed and purified by the power of the Holy Spirit. Unbelief left unchecked can turn to hatred and hatred left unchallenged can turn to unbelief.  that is the slippery slope on which Judas slid.

Those open talks in prayer makes the grace of Jesus Christ so powerful. Truthfulness in our inward person does not lead to God's punishment. It leads to God's purity. It exposed God's righteousness at work in us. It is an open door welcoming the Holy Spirit of God to come in and transform us. It prepares room for God's grace to flourish and bring forth much fruitfulness and understanding of our position in Christ as  Christians.

This Christmas is different
Reading Matthew
December 23, 2017

Having completed  90 days of fasting and prayer from September to December, I find myself in awe of all that God is doing. Sounds are more clear to me. Sights and lights are brighter to me. People are people to me. My heart has been torn wide open with an undeniable love for Jesus Christ and for people.

This authentic, indescribable reality is because of Jesus Christ being born into the world over 2017 years ago to show mankind the nature of God, that is both loving and truthful. All this and more will make this Christmas very different for you.

Understanding the value of things in both a spiritual and a practical way.

Meditating on Matthew 21, especially around verses
1 through 5
December 21, 2017

My first car out of college was a gold Chevrolet Cavalier. I called her Betsy. She was reliable and roomy. I would load her up on several Christmas Eves and drive from my apartment in Gramercy Park and E 23rd Street on Manhattan's East Side, and later when I moved to the Grand Concourse, she would be overloaded on Christmas Eve heading for my mother's house in Brooklyn. Her house was the distribution center for packing and gift exchange. Betsy was like the colt that was of much use to Jesus. Betsy was the car I used in the icy cold winters to feed the street prostitutes around the Port Authority in Manhattan and the old bag ladies who slept on the floor inside the bus station. She was the same car that was loaded up with family members on many Sundays for happy day trips for shopping in Long Island and back.

When I sold Betsy, I got $25 for her. But to those of us who enjoyed her reliability, she was a priceless car. Is there something in your life that has served such a tremendous purpose and blessing to so many that its value to you is like the colt on which Jesus rode on His triumphal entry into Jerusalem, or the colt on which Joseph placed Mary and the infant Jesus on their escape from death into Egypt ?

This is good
Matthew 15:16-20
December 15, 2017
In a society and in a time where we are told how many times to wash our hands and how to open doors to avoid contamination, Jesus already told us that to avoid real contamination we are to wash our hearts. Jesus was not teaching that we should eat with filthy hands, but that those who put more emphasis on the washing of hands and judge us if don't wash our hands before we eat, etc, are avoiding the deeper issue of how deeply we need to be washed internally where diseases really live.
16 Jesus said, “Don’t you understand yet? 17 Don’t you know that everything that goes into the mouth enters the stomach and goes out into the sewer? 18 But what goes out of the mouth comes from the heart. And that’s what contaminates a person in God’s sight. 19 Out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adultery, sexual sins, thefts, false testimonies, and insults. 20 These contaminate a person in God’s sight. But eating without washing hands doesn’t contaminate in God’s sight.” Matthew 15:16-20

UPDATE AS OF December 15, 2017: One of the women in the picture below got saved before I left Nigeria, by the power of God. But, one more of the young women got saved from this outreach after I left Nigeria in August. It was reported to me two weeks ago that the second young woman  was baptized in the Holy Spirit.

Don't let outward appearances fool you. People are hungering and thirsting after righteousness just as Jesus said. You just have to be willing and bold in the Spirit to bring them the GOOD NEWS, no matter the cost materially or of your life. Leave all the consequences to God ! HALLELUJAH to JESUS, LORD over all the earth!

Matthew 28:19-20

We, the team, watched in awe as He, God, manifested himself in love and understanding. People are not hungry for cake. They are starving for Jesus Christ and His loving, forgiving kingdom.

Power to walk on water
Matthew 14:22-31
December 14, 2017

There comes a time in every day, whether it is in the morning or at night, during lunch hour or break where you need to withdraw from your activities, from your spouse, from your children or household members and all the noise around you. Go to a quiet place alone for your uninterrupted time with Jesus. It is a practice, not a principle. That is where and when you get power from God and He will reveal hidden or difficult things to you. It is where you receive healing, cleansing, deliverance, change of character, change of direction, correction, uplifting, and power to walk on water.

22 Right then, Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go ahead to the other side of the lake while he dismissed the crowds. 23 When he sent them away, he went up onto a mountain by himself to pray. Evening came and he was alone. 24 Meanwhile, the boat, fighting a strong headwind, was being battered by the waves and was already far away from land. 25 Very early in the morning he came to his disciples, walking on the lake. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified and said, “It’s a ghost!” They were so frightened they screamed.
27 Just then Jesus spoke to them, “Be encouraged! It’s me. Don’t be afraid.”
28 Peter replied, “Lord, if it’s you, order me to come to you on the water.”
29 And Jesus said, “Come.”
Then Peter got out of the boat and was walking on the water toward Jesus. 30 But when Peter saw the strong wind, he became frightened. As he began to sink, he shouted, “Lord, rescue me!”
31 Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him, saying, “You man of weak faith! Why did you begin to have doubts?”

December 10, 2017

We will win in business and in ministry if we don't get lazy and say, "there's a lion in the street". If there indeed is a lion in the street, the go-getter, the winner, the champion trusts God, gets up, gets dressed, calls a lion-catcher then goes out into the street to win the spoils. Real winners are visionary people who don't see lions. They see opportunities that come out of obstacles called lions.

" A sluggard says, “There’s a lion in the road, a fierce lion roaming the streets!”   Proverbs 26:13

December 5, 4017

Reading the book of Matthew is such a spiritually confirming book. It details the life of Jesus and how he taught and transformed some pretty sketchy men and women and turned them into great leaders.

Earlier this year I began to teach other leaders that it would help them to do more coaching in difficult situations than counseling. Some leaders got it while others left the conference to think about it. But, having read almost the entire Bible again this year, my spiritual sight was illuminated to see Jesus's pattern for transforming people's lives.

First, He identified them individually. Then, He called them. They answered yes and followed Him. Then He began with life  teaching, character transformation exercises  and examples. Sometimes when the disciples were not responding well, Jesus sat down with them as a group and began to coach them.

I was overtaken by that. Not that counseling is wrong, but Jesus demonstrated that working to bring the best out of peoples' lives is like  parenting. One begins as  a father or mother then develops into a coach as the child becomes an adult and no longer needs your invasive ideas or thoughts but needs to know how to apply skills. That explodes into a mentor who directs or redirects and goes away to watch them choose to reject or accept great ideas. Then, as age overtakes parent and child, they go back to parent / child relationship.

The parent becomes the counselor, the counselor becomes the coach, and the coach becomes the mentor. All the while counseling is taking place but without focusing on and rehearsing the problem.

My plan for 2018, by God's grace, is to move from counseling to more coaching. Sometimes nursing and rehearsing the problem does not help. It may be more effective to give instructions, give examples, encourage and send people away to live out one step of the solution and come back rather than bathe in the problem, over and over again.

Either way, it requires God's wisdom to help people find their way in life as Jesus did.

December  prayer for you who have joined us on this page:

Lord God, as you have brought us into the month of December, we thank you for all your grace and mercy. We know that your goodness has been around us all year. It was you that exposed and flew the traps Satan set for us to fall into. But, we didn't fall in because of your great love for us. We are a blessed people and no one can curse us. Our fortunate and blessed lives are by your grace. Thank you for healing our bodies, forgiving our sins, preserving our souls, and giving us journey mercies by day and night. Thank you for our jobs, businesses, homes, and the means to meet our monthly financial responsibilities. Thank you for our marriages, families, relatives and children. Thank you for our local church, which by your own grace, you have kept alive and open. Thank you that as many came to split and destroy, to disturb and disrupt, to deceive and distort, your Holy Spirit fought them and drove them back. That too has been by your grace.
Thank you for your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior whose shed blood has brought us salvation and forgiveness of sin. Through Him we are blessed. We, in turn, bless those who bless us. Bless those who use us. Bless those who abuse us. Bless those who persecute us.
Whoever stands as a barrier to our lives, Lord, take control. Your Holy Spirit is in charge of our joy and our fortune. Goodness and mercy on every side. This month will be for us a month of your unexpected blessings. Thank you for all that you have done and you are doing. Thank you for all that you will do for your people and for those for whom we have prayed and wept all year, in Jesus name. Lord Jesus, be glorified!

Another fulfilling journey through the gospel according to Matthew. See how God can take a cheat and turn him into a leader of the Church. Sometimes we just need to be reminded of whom and what the kingdom of God was established for.

Things lost are not greater than what God is doing right now
November 28, 2017
Philippians 3

Things lost are not greater than what God is doing in your life right now. Things lost, or opportunities missed, or arrows spent, or words not spoken was a secular saying about four things that do not come back. Yet, the truth be told, those four things have no power over the life of a child of God.

Bemoaning the past requires a backward look, a backward walk, a backward talk, a weakening of the spirit, and a loss of focus from all the good things God is doing for you right now. The Bible shows the kingdom truth that God's plan and perspective overrides old sayings, no matter how true they sound.

Philippians 3:8 "Not only that, but I consider everything a disadvantage in comparison with the supreme value of knowing the Messiah Jesus as my Lord. It was because of him that I gave up everything and regard it all as garbage, in order to gain the Messiah."

Some things were not lost. We gave them up. We deliberately let them pass us for the excellency of Christ.

Philippians 3: 13 "but one thing I do: forgetting what is behind me and straining forward toward what lies ahead,"

Some things from our past we chose to forget. It is not that we missed them. They were presented to us then as life-changers and we overlooked them, so it looked like we missed them. We now know that they were just manure for the goodness we are now enjoying in Christ Jesus. They were not missed opportunities at all. They were simply not good enough for us. We have forgotten those things and are now operating in and walking in God's excellency and God's excellence for our lives now.

Go for the greatest gain

If God presents you with a choice to do something that will take you around the block or take you around the world, go for the world. Around the block is part of the world, but why miss out on the rest of the world ? Go for the greatest gain.

John 16:33
November 20, 2017

Just a little Jewish take on John 16:33 for the brave people of God.

From Jesus:  “I have said these things to you so that, united with me, you may have shalom (peace). In the world, you have tsuris (troubles, calamity, aggravation, tragedy , suffering, woes). But be brave! I have conquered the world!”

Just a quick note: tsuris means troubles in multiples.

John 10:3

" This is the one the gate-keeper admits, and the sheep hear his voice. He calls his own sheep, each one by name, and leads them out."

What's in a name? Well, to a father, the sound of his child's name is a great sound. To a mother, the name is one way to identify the child she carried in her womb for however many months.
But, there is a name that when it is called by Jesus the person knows exactly that it is Jesus calling. It is that eternal relationship fostered in a name by the Great Shepherd as  He calls His sheep, one by one by name into His eternal flock destined for His eternal glory.
No one else can call you by that name because it is from God. We run to Jesus when we hear that name being called. This is a wonderful and powerful truth that makes belonging to Jesus an amazing life.
If you don't have that amazing life where your name has eternal promise, you can. Right now, right where you are, humble yourself and confess to God that you have sinned against Him. You don't have to remember how many ways you sinned. All sin is sin. Ask God to forgive you and enter your heart. Ask Him to give you His Holy Spirit to lead you into all truth. Ask Him to make you His sheep and help you to know His voice. Then, let God help you to find a Bible believing, Bible teaching church to help you grow and learn how to pray, how to read the word of God, how to love people with the love of God, and how to serve God one step at a time while you are growing in God's awesome love and grace.
We at Rehoboth are a good church home for you. You are welcome to come and join us. God bless you.

Book of the month for November is the New Testament love story of redemption.

The gospel according to someone who really loved and understood  Jesus.

Book of the month for October is the vibrantly written gospel according to Mark.

Book of the month for September is the intricately written book of Luke.

A sensitive, detailed report of Jesus , His gospel, His compassion, His humanity, and the people whom His person and compassion deeply affected.

Reading Luke 8
I write this to all women who are living with excruciating pain from bleeding and no one has been able to help you. I also write this for men who have been seeing one or more of the females in your family go through this so that you may know how to pray for them.

There is permanent help. There is healing. I testify to you that if you will just believe, you will receive and see that miraculous healing, by the grace of God.

Before the Lord saved my life, for years I suffered with an internal disorder called endometriosis. (Please research it for yourself). Get insight into what your wife, daughter, sister, etc may be going through each month. That information will motivate you to pray for them and be gentle with them each month until their healing comes.

The pain from endemetriosis would be excruciating. It would just about cripple me and make my tummy swollen and stiff. Sometimes I was not even able to sit on the seat of my car so driving was awful. I had to sleep on the floor of my home at night to get any relief at all. Each month the pain would seize me as I worked at the office. Sometimes I would just curl up on the floor in the early morning before my staff arrived.

I had surgery for it but that just barely helped the problem.
Endometriosis had scarred me so badly internally that the surgery was not enough to reverse the issue and stop the flow of blood into areas where that blood should not have been flowing. It continued for years after that. I was not afraid but I did live in anticipation of the next month and the next month knowing that as soon as I felt a cramp I was in for a painful experience that would last more than a week at times.

One night in my early years of Christianity I went to the altar and I told Jesus to please heal me. I remember that I did not ask Him to heal me, as a person timidly requesting something from their superior. I was not afraid to talk to Him and tell Him what it was that I wanted Him to do for me. He is God and He had the power and the love to heal me. It was settled in my mind. I told him that I had enough of this monthly pain and I wanted Him to heal me. I was not going back to my seat to experience that cycle of monthly, horrible pain and weight loss.

That night the Lord Jesus Christ supernaturally healed me through a miracle while I was standing there. No one touched me. Jesus touched me.

If you are suffering with this type of pain, no doctor can help you. Medication offers short term alleviation. Women, you need a miracle from Jesus, the Great Physician. Tell God that you have had enough of pain and the abnormalities it brings to your life. Ask Him to heal you.

It was that simple for me, except one thing... my faith in the power of Jesus was very high, just like the woman with the issue of blood in Luke 8. When I touched Jesus with my faith that night, immediately He touched me back with His healing power. I felt it in my body. I never went to a doctor to confirm God's miracle. I waited until the next month to see if pain would be there.

Glory be to God. From 1998 until today, there has been no next month. Jesus Christ that did it for the woman with the issue of blood in Luke 8, and did it do for me on that night, is surely able to do it for you.

Have faith in God! Ask and you will receive. Seek and you will find. Knock and it will be opened to you.

This is my personal testimony of just one miraculous healing in my life by Jesus Christ so that you may know and believe that God still works miracles.

Job 1 and 2
July 3, 2017
Your tears are God's creation to rid your emotions and your mind of stress and wounds of the heart. Tears are medicine to a wounded heart. They seem to have supernatural power to alleviate the pressure of that particular thing that makes your heart heavy and your body tense.
To shed tears especially  in prayer is a powerful message to God about what it is you are unable to communicate with any kind of words. Many in the Bible shed tears after attempting to fix a problem or get through difficulties. Some shed tears of joy. Some shed tears when God worked a miracle. Some shed tears when a loved one died. Some shed tears when they worshiped God. Some shed tears in betrayal. Jesus shed tears because of unbelief.
Men and women should feel free to shed tears  when in the company of those with whom they feel safe. Tears are to some people are a sign of weakness. To some people, tears are the sign of a person who is strong enough to be vulnerable. But, whichever is the case, however you view tears, they are what they are. Tears will flow when the situation at hand is just too much to bear and words cannot adequately describe your inner feelings.

Job shed tears and wept loudly  when the thing he feared the most happened in his life.  My hope for you is that you will  allow  God's creative power called tears to be used as a way to escape pressure on your heart. Let your tears flow in victory.

Let us see what the Holy Bible say about  Jesus, the Son of God.

“Who has gone up to heaven and come down?  Who has gathered up the wind in the hollow of his hands?  Who has wrapped up the waters in his cloak? Who has established all the ends of the earth?   What is his name, and the name of his son?  Tell me if you know!” Proverbs 30:4

The writer of Proverbs had great love and honor for the Lord God. He understood the majesty and the glory of God, and he reflected his faith and commitment to the “Worthy One”

He calls to remembrance of how God revealed himself to Moses; that moment when Moses, standing on holy ground, saw in amazement the burning bush which was not consumed. It was then that God revealed His name for all eternity:
“I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’ ” Exodus 3:14.

We know what God’s name is, but what is His Son’s name? What Son of God most closely fits this description of the majesty and glory of God, who is “The Father”?

Israel as God’s Son
When God instructed Moses preparing him to speak before Pharaoh, He said, “Israel is my firstborn son…’Let my son go.'” Exodus 4:22,23

It was God who “fathered Israel.” The Lord called Israel into existence through  Abraham. God promised Abraham the blessing and the privilege of being a blessing to all the nations. Israel then is God’s own, a sanctified treasure, a son pre-eminent. For as a people, Israel is called to accomplish God’s purpose. Through Israel’s posterity would come Messiah Jesus born in the very manner spoken by Isaiah the prophet in Isaiah 7:14   "Therefore the Lord himself  will give you people a sign:the young woman* will become pregnant, bear a son and name him ‘Immanu El  [God is with us]

and in Isaiah 9:6-7 " 6  For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7 Of the greatness of His government and peace  there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne  and over His  kingdom, establishing and upholding it  with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this."

The prophet Hosea adds another sense to the idea of sonships. Not only is  the nation of Israel regarded as God’s son(“When Israel was a child, I loved him, and out of Egypt I called my son.” Hosea 11:1), but the prophet adds that each of the Israelites are “…the sons of the living God.” (Hosea 1:10.) But this picture is of an Israel that is united internally and comprised of a people who, having been chastened, have returned to the fear and love of God.
But of all the Israelites, is there not one special son of God? Through the family of David and the line of the tribe of Judah, a son would come whose throne would be eternal.

“Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom. You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.”
-Psalm 45:6,7

2 The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the LORD and against his Anointed One.
4 The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the LORD scoffs at them.   6 ‘I have installed my King on Zion, my holy hill.’
8 Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.
10 Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth.
12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry and you be destroyed in your way, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.”

Psalm 2 begins with a description of the earthly rulers in revolt. They have focused their rebellion against God and His Anointed (the Messiah) in verse two. The verse following gives their cry of rebellion. God’s response puts them in their place. The writer of Psalm 2 describes Him as laughing from heaven (verses 4-6) at the rebels. The ancients have not missed the significance of the relationship to the Lord and His Anointed One. As a matter of fact, they remark in a simile where “God, and His Messiah” are likened to a king and “the son of the king.”

A third voice can be heard in Psalm 2.  First we heard the psalmist and then the thundering voice of God. Now comes the voice of God’s Son to tell us the declaration of the Lord:

“We tell you the good news: What God promised our fathers he has fulfilled for us, their children, by raising up Jesus. As it is written in the second Psalm: ‘You are my Son; today I have become your Father.'”
Acts 13:32,33
That Scripture testifies to Jesus as the Son of God.  That Scripture points to the one person who was to be glorified as the Son of God.

In Genesis, the first book of the Bible, we read that God made us “in His own image.”
“So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them” Genesis 1:27.
That does not mean that God has a body, but that we are like Him in very special ways. God does not have a mouth or ears as we do, but He can and does speak with us.  God never does what is wrong, but like us He knows the difference between the right and wrong and between good and evil. Because He loves and cares for us weak and sinful people, God is compassionate. That means that God is love, whose love  goes out to us to bring us to Him. God has many things about Him that we learn as we live in union with Him through our faith in Jesus Christ.

God is self-existent. God was not created. God is complete in and by Himself. He needs no one and nothing.  What does that have to do with Jesus?

How can Jesus be God?
In the Bible it is written that in the beginning God spoke and things came into being. Genesis 1-2. It is also written in John 1:1-3- and John 1:14: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. … The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us”
Christians believe in only one God. But what is the nature of God and how can you open your heart to receive the truth that Jesus is the Son of God?
If our own nature, sinful though it is, has many ways of expression, God's holy and sinless nature is greater than ours and not limited as ours is limited.
We were created by God to relate and communicate with God and with each other.  Jesus  the Son of God brought us back to God for awesome relationship and unimaginable communication.
Jesus was sent to earth by God the Father as  a man, through His miraculous, supernatural birth through a specific, selected virgin named Mary. Luke 2:1-20. There was no sexual union between God and Mary. It was a supernatural birth fulfilled by the Holy Spirit of God, who has no impossibilities and whose power is unlimited.
But, before that, Jesus  was the Word of God. In the beginning, God’s command brought everything into being  Hebrews 11:3. God’s Word has power.  After Jesus was crucified for our sins, died on the cross, was buried in a grave and rose from the dead three days later,  He ascended and returned to heaven from the Mount of Olives.  But, before He ascended to heaven, Jesus told His disciples, His followers, to baptize new disciples “in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Jesus said “name,” not “names.” In John 10:22-39  it i written that Jesus was and is one with God.
When Jesus said He was God’s Son, He was not saying that He had a mother. Mary was not the mother of the eternal Word of God. Jesus came from God, and before being on earth Jesus was one with Him. So God did not create Jesus . God was and is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is God, fully  able to fully function apart from anyone.  He created because love shares, and He wanted to share His love with us. These are deep truths. Anything less takes away from God’s power, His glory, His majesty and His infiniteness. God is great, far greater than we imagine. How can we understand God? The Bible simply states the truth.

“Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great:  He appeared in the flesh, was vindicated by the Spirit,  was seen by angels, was preached among the nations,
was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory”                    1 Timothy 3:16.

“In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” Philippians 2:5-11.
Jesus said “I am the light of the world” John 16:27-28; 8:12. The Holy Spirit, God's invisible Spirit, brings God’s power to those who believe in Jesus and gives power to the life of all Christian believers.  Ephesians 5:9Galatians 5:22-23.

There is only one God. He is one and He is three-in-one. He is great, and His nature is marvelous.
How can you make JESUS your Savior and live powerfully with God through Jesus?
Listen carefully. We have all sinned and deserve God's judgment. God, the Father, sent His only Son Jesus Christ to satisfy that judgment for those who believe in Him. Jesus, the creator and eternal Son of God, lived a sinless life, loves us so much that He died for our sins, and He out of that love, took  the punishment that we deserve, was buried, and rose from the dead in three days according to the Bible

If you truly believe and trust this in your heart, ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins. It is our sins that separate us from our Loving God. Jesus will forgive your sins and enter your heart. Your body will become the temple of His Holy Spirit. God will dwell in you once your sins are forgiven and by His Spirit He will begin to make you a holy and righteous person, which you had never been before . Accepting Jesus alone as your Savior, declaring that , "Jesus is Lord," you will be saved from the judgment that is coming upon the world, Jesus will give you peace to live joyfully and peace to die confidently knowing that because you made of Jesus Christ the Son of God your Savior, you will spend eternity with God in heaven.

One more month of great reading and transformation.
He told them what He would do and He told them what they should and should not do.

Read two chapters each day.

Exodus 40

What a great way to start the new year.

Read one to two chapters per day and meditate on the voice of Jesus.

Experience the certainty of Jesus.

Hearing the voice of Jesus

Whom you trust determines your destiny

In the vision they flocked because they said they have never heard those words before. At first, they had a male ringleader. He was foul-mouthed. He stepped forward to ridicule me. When he came close to me, he opened his mouth to speak profanities to me. But,in front of all the countless young people around him God put those words in my mouth. I  began to sing them loudly with a  clear voice. The countless number asked me about how they can hear more. I told them to follow me to church. They ran behind and followed me singing the song. \
GOD has a major plan for young people, and at Rehoboth we have lined up to be a great part of God's fulfillment.
Thru the vision, I truly believe that this is God's timing to win millions of teens and young adults to Jesus. The churches that God is using are those who have made the youth a major priority in their congregations, and not just a ministry.

September book of the month

Acts 27

Step out of man's reality into God's reality. You will never fully experience the power of God inviting Him into your reality. Let God bring you up from and out of your "stuckness" into a greater anointing to do greater works. Like Paul in Acts, we have to be not just willing, we have to move in God's direction now. Things may get a little more exciting than you thought, but you will be shown the way as you go. God will protect you because He loves you, cares about you, and created you for a plan that only He can bring to pass in your life.

September 5, 2016
Just because people do not believe in miracles, does not deny God's miraculous power. That was a real issue for those who in the early church who heard the gospel, even in their own language. It was as if nothing God did changed the hearts of those intent on remaining in the past and denying that Jesus had come.
It was easier to deny the miracle working power of God than for many of the  ruling Jews to accept the miracles as evidence that Jesus the Messiah was He whom they crucified on the cross. It would seem that since the apostles were Jewish, that should be a real indication to the ruling Jews that Yeshua had come to Israel. But, no. The veil of unbelief and the fear of losing position and privilege in the temple was way too real.
Then and now, denial of the truth that Jesus is the Messiah does not bring erasure to the truth that Jesus wasand is the Messiah.

I Samuel 17: 45

"45 David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied"
That is the war cry of every victor in the kingdom of God. The themes and the centuries may change, but the enemy remains the same. Some big person or some big situation will come at you fully clothed in many areas that look like you will never win.
But, because you have spent so much of your time of peace and struggle familiarizing yourself with winning small and great battles thru your very close relationship with Almighty God, this Goliath will also go down. Funny thing about Goliath is that when he fell from David’s single stone, God allowed him to fall on his face. That represented disgrace and never to rise again.
In that same way, Jesus Christ will give you victory over all the works of that Goliath disturbing you named Satan.  He is coming at you armored in several different ways, but you will come at Him armored one way… the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. When it is over, you, the anointed servant of God will be left standing. Just trust in God’s love for you to fight for you in the hottest battles.

Book of the month for July:
July 20, 2016
Samuel recalls  the personality disorders of leaders, the disloyalty of families and close friends, the tragedy of loving someone so much that it seems reasonable to hurt those  they love to prove a love that is a distorted love, the challenges that fall upon the head that wears the crown, the military challenges of bringing the nation of Israel into victory over its many enemies at that time in history, and a type and shadow of Jesus in an anointed, powerful, courageous unstoppable man named King David.

We are in a contest against sin
We embrace the holiness produced by the Lord's discipline
We are in control of our emotions
We do not merely acknowledge the Lord Jesus intellectually
We nurse our injuries but keep moving to the prize
We know that the angels of the Lord are dispatched by the Lord for us
We know that our life of hope of glory is all by God's grace.

February 11, 2016
Have you ever felt like Joseph in the book of Genesis? One uncomfortable thing after another? It seems like just as you get your feet on steady ground, something else just comes and drags at your life. That is certainly how Joseph  must have felt after being sold out by his own brothers. Now, there he was in Egypt and his boss's wife was trying to commit adultery with him. She thought she was so fine and irresistible. But, Joseph did not have a heart for the sin of adultery. Her failed attempt at adultery with Joseph had to be covered up with a lie against him. That lie landed him unceremoniously in prison. Overshadowed by her lie of attempted rape, Joseph was let to sit in a prison cell waiting...waiting.. waiting on God. Yet, even there in what was an unfair situation fueled by devilish behaviors, God allowed Joseph to find favor with the prison warden. It didn't immediately get him out of prison, but it was a great way for all to see that Joseph's faith in God was not in vain.
One lesson from the life of Joseph is that the devil will use many people, tricks and schemes to bring even innocent people into some of the worst situations in life. But, just like Joseph and his faith in God, what the wickedness of the devil will bring us to, the power, the plan and the goodness of Almighty God will bring us thru.

Learn to rest and wait on God to do what He said. His plan, if left uninterrupted and unchallenged, brings great perennial harvests. Tampered with, the best we may see is just a crop in a season.

Genesis 12:2-3
It is mature to understand that among a group of people,God divinely selects one person to whom He gives a vision or an assignment that will require the involvement of the rest of the group. Like Abraham, the promise was to Abraham. Sarah his wife was blessed because she was the wife of the most blessed man on earth at that time. Of course, God loved Sarah so she was blessed by God apart from her husband. But, the promise and blessings on Abraham's life was for her to fulfill her own part in God's plan.
Can you imagine how difficult it would be if Sarah resisted her husband by saying that she did not believe that God had spoken to him? Can you imagine if Abraham had not obeyed God but put his emotions first? These are hard questions that we have had to answer and experience in own own lives.
The quicker we are to embrace the Biblical plan of God for those near to us and for our own lives is the quicker we will begin to enjoy the goodness of God in the magnitude that He sends it.

"  I will make of you a great nation, I will bless you, and I will make your name great; and you are to be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, but I will curse anyone who curses you; and by you all the families of the earth will be blessed.”

It's not marathon reading. It is rich, spiritual-muscle building times of intimacy with the Living Word thru His written word.

Reading further into the book of Ezekiel
Embracing God's sovereignty, is it easy or difficult? Well, it depends on your mindset and your own life goals. It also depends on whether you believe that you are in control of everything concerning your life and if you believe that human beings, thru our intelligence, are really in control of all things.

First, what does the word  sovereign mean? The next question would be "who is God? "  Let us accept that All Mighty is just that. He is God who has all power. God is the Creator of heaven and earth and mankind. He is the ruler and the sustainer of the  universe. He is the only God that does and has ever existed. He is the very near, personal, loving, forgiving, living, relational Father of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Let us start with that.
So then, what is sovereignty and why is it God who is sovereign?
Sovereignty speaks of control and dominion over things that are fixed that God will and God alone can do, no matter what anyone says or does.

We see God's sovereignty with the children of Israel coming out of Egypt under the leadership of Moses. We see His sovereignty over creation when He parted the Red Sea so the Israelites could cross on dry land. Like Noah and his family being saved from the flood. Like Isaac being born to Abraham and Sarah when she was old and barren. Like David being the chosen King over Israel, no matter what Israel said. Like Jesus being supernaturally born into the world to be crucified for our sins and rising from the dead, no matter how hard Satan tried to stop that plan. Like Jesus coming back for the church no matter how many people believe otherwise. And those are just a few. If you really look closely at your own life, you would have to admit that there were moments since you were born that things could have gone a totally negative and awful way. But, somehow, God stepped in and did some invisible stuff to turn a really bad situation into something more manageable.
God has more sovereign things set for our lives that neither us, nor anyone, nor any situation will be able to change them. He is in control of those things because He has a set purpose for our lives and a set plan to fulfill thru our lives.
It is like Jesus coming back. That is a sovereign plan of God. God is in control over that day, the very hour, and the very minute.
Sovereign God of Ezekiel is the same loving, powerful God today. His sovereignty is better embraced than simply understood.

A  reflection on the book of Ezekiel
October 31, 2015

One point of Ezekiel's prophecy really speaks to your heart. God told Ezekiel to tell the people that he did not blame parents for the sins of their grown children, neither did He limit the potential of children because of the sins of their parents. Both were individuals before God. Both were judged or blessed by their own actions.
That really helps a lot of parents who have grown children who just keep making their own decisions to continue a life of evil choices. Also, that takes away the ugly words of people who believe that God would hinder the progress of children because they were born to parents who do evil things.

The book of Ezekiel has many other prophetic utterances. But, this one prophetic utterance directly from the mouth of God really set the whole book of Ezekiel in a loving theology of a gracious God in this New Testament of God's grace. God is truly the same yesterday, today and forever .

October 1, 2015
“Here is the sort of fast I want —
untying the thongs of the yoke,
breaking every yoke,
taking the homeless poor into your house,
fulfilling your duty to your kinsmen!”
This kind of fasting brings these blessings from God:
Then your light will burst forth like the morning,
your righteousness will precede you,
Then you will call, and the Lord will answer;
If you will remove the yoke from among you,
generously offer food to the hungry
then your light will rise in the darkness,
The Lord will always guide you;
He will renew the strength in your limbs;
like a spring whose water never fails.
raise foundations from ages past,
Restorer of streets to live in.”

Reading the book of Psalms, prayers, worship and praise are  shown as the power of life. Reading the book of Proverbs, wisdom, understanding and applying the word of God make up the well of life.
A life with wisdom only gets better day to day until it becomes excellent and very useful to God and to people.

As we close out our first summer of the Psalms at Rehoboth, admittedly God has used those powerful songs and prayers to bring comfort, answers, deliverance, direction, vision and clarity to many who have read and followed along.
The word of God really is not static at all. The Psalms were written  by different people at different times. But, but when read as a complete book and not as a group of different books, divisions or different sections, the psalms reveal some core values of those who believe in God

"You talk too much". That statement is usually a derogatory term used to  insult, and in other cases help someone discipline their tongue to minimize the amount of words they speak. But, there is a person and a place where a silenced tongue is always not a better tongue.

Reading  from Nehemiah to Job and on into the Psalms, we see a  picture of people who are serious in prayer and speak multitudes of words when they pray. We see men and women who open their mouth and talk to God as a person talks face to face with a friend. They tell God who hurt them, what type of hurts were brought against them, and how the hurts made them feel. Some even tell God what to do stop the battery of attacks against them and what they want God to do to change the negative situations in their lives.  (God did pay attention to the words of their prayers and answered them, even beyond what they prayed.)

David had no fear of God because He had all faith in God. The many words he wrote and prayed said the multitude of things that others might have been afraid to say.

In you, LORD, I take refuge; let me never be put to shame; in your justice, save me! Turn your ear toward me, come quickly to my rescue, be for me a rock of strength, a fortress to keep me safe. Since you are my rock and fortress, lead me and guide me for your name’s sake. Free me from the net they have hidden to catch me, because you are my strength. Into your hand I commit my spirit; you will redeem me, LORD, God of truth."

Reading Job
August 6, 2015
God pursued Job with great love from before calamity came upon his life. Job did not understand that it was Satan, and not God, who wanted to ruin his life and faith. Even when Job's heart hurt at the loss of his children, his wealth and his reputation, he looked back to the relationship God had with him and he clung to that relationship for his life.

Sometimes in our own lives, we also get to times and seasons where what is most visible to us is the love of God towards us that He showed thru Jesus His Son while we were in sin. That love is real and unchangeable. It is not the kind of love that Satan or life's trials will cause to disappear.  It is the love of Jesus that pursues us even when we are not in reciprocal pursuit.
Celebrate the love that pursued you with a sacred romance. In spite of life's awfully insane moments, never forget or defile the sacred romance between Jesus Christ and you. It is what is left if everything fails.
"But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

Luke 4:18-19
Experience the liberty  found only in the word of God. Those who trust in His word do experience challenges, both great and small. It is because we are in this world of sin and insanity, even though we are no longer of this world. You will find like the men and women of the Bible that God is powerful in every situation to lead you through your challenge or move miraculously and deliver you from it immediately. There in God and His word is freedom from the aches and pains of this life that cannot be fixed by this life. Only in the word of God will we experience the God-kind of liberty that breaks addictive cycles, pains, and injuries in our lives. In spite of it all, the word of God puts us above the ugly, painful works of Satan.
Cultivate a love for the word of God and a life of praise.

Why be afraid? Why be cast down? In spite of it all, give God praise ! Experience true liberty by the power of Jesus Christ that you so desperately need.
If you are reading this, most likely you are alone. Let the words and the promise of Christ's liberty set you free from what has been holding you captive like a prisoner. Desire God's liberty that makes you free indeed. It may not make sense right now, and it won't make sense until you let go and grab a hold of Jesus. Let Him lead you out of that place that holds you down. It is there by faith that you will understand along with the billions of others why we crave and praise that liberty.

The best way to live life as a kingdom super-conqueror is to surround yourself with people who believe in God's best, seek God's best themselves, and will tell you to seek God best for yourself. Surround yourself with people who are willing to say "yes"  to God and see it through.

Ask God to work in you by His Holy Spirit to heal you of all the past hurts, past divorce(s), past breakups of relationships, past business failures, past sexual activities, past financial failures, past ministry failures, hurts of all kinds. These can be just as much enemies of your life as people who would want to physically harm you. You owe it to yourself as a believer in Christ Jesus to live a full life. Don't let the devil ruin this season of your life with his ongoing tricks.

God has a plan to give you total victory over the enemy. Take all your burdens and all your blessings to Jesus Christ. He will make it right for you. He will send you away with blessings that will take you three days to just collect in one place.

Reading thru the books of Kings and the gospels

Like the kings, priests, prophets, apostles and disciples of old, live your life with a conviction that you are glad to live for, but with which you will gladly die. Not that we want death to prove our love for Jesus by dying, but as Christians we should have a strong conviction and eternal commitment to our Lord Jesus Christ and what He died for. Both our conviction and commitment should be seen clearly in all we do. Jesus was crucified and died in public humiliation so that we may live with Him in public and eternal excellence.
When you live as a Christian with a conviction in your faith that speaks volumes to people, then you will win people to salvation by your open testimony of Jesus Christ. Even if many don't repent and receive salvation, God sees your labor and you will be rewarded. That is what all the kings, prophets, and disciples had in common. They lived and breathed their calling with a witnessing conviction.

I Samuel 23:15-18
May 7, 2015
There comes a time in life when you find yourself in an uncomfortable situation but you know that God is with you. You even hear the voice of God speaking to your heart. But, in those moments one other thing really blesses your soul. It is when  your good or best friend comes alongside you and says a word that helps you to find strength in God and earthly comfort in the friendship.

Many teach that your best friend should only be your husband or wife. But, married or single, we should cultivate at least one dear and deeply meaningful friendship that may not be your spouse. As in the case of the covenant friendship between David and Jonathan, they were both married men, but they both needed each other as friends in a filial, almost agape way.
As long as your spouse knows about it and it does not violate your relationship with your spouse, and as long as God is in the midst of it, the love of a true, right-now friend is as precious as rubies.

God who has spoken to us is not like us who tell lies and bring confusion to our lives and to the lives of others. God does not change His mind from one moment to another. He leads us by His grace into a life that is steadfast, trustworthy and fulfilling.

It is only right that His children who have His Holy Spirit transform from indecisiveness, and thru our faith in God be decisive and fulfill His will in our daily lives. The next time you find yourself being indecisive ask yourself "did I really hear from God?." Then go back and pray. But, if you are convinced that you heard from God, then take authority over the spirit of fear and do what has been decided on.

April 2015
Joshua and Judges

Do you know that God is for you and for your success? No matter what wrong understanding of God you grew up with, today God can change all that and change your life in doing so. Jesus promised us in Luke 10:19-20: "Remember, I have given you authority; so you can trample down snakes and scorpions, indeed, all the enemy’s forces; and you will remain completely unharmed. Nevertheless, don’t be glad that the spirits submit to you; be glad that your names have been recorded in heaven.”
Serpents represent one type of enemy. Scorpions represent another type of enemy. Jesus said that you will walk  over the works of Satan and nothing he will do to you will harm you.

Numbers 30:2
Leviticus 26:9-13

In reading on into the book of Leviticus, there is a recurring theme. God is holy and our holy God has a plan to bring mankind to himself and to draw himself near to mankind.  Worship and obey God. The Old Testament saints were saved thru the worship of the God of Israel only and obedience to His word. Follow that teaching into the New Testament and we are not far from it, except that grace is magnified over the Law, and Jesus Christ  is magnified over that same Law as the person and the source of that saving and redemptive grace.
Here are few of the challenges for many people who have a problem with grace over the fulfillment of the Law: (although I have always seen God's grace in that He gave the Law to make His people become what He required of them according to His plan at that time.)

How holy I act will save me: Salvation by self-righteousness
How much I study and how much I know will save me: Salvation by knowledge
Our holy God had a plan called redemption and no one was good enough to fulfill it but the sinless Son of God, Jesus Christ. He alone took our sins and our diseases on the cross. Rest in His grace and believe on Jesus and you will be saved.

Leviticus  10: 8-10
Leviticus 10:9-10 "Then the Lord said to Aaron, “You and your sons are not to drink wine or other fermented drink whenever you go into the tent of meeting, or you will die. This is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, so that you can distinguish between the holy and the common, between the unclean and the clean..."

..“When you take a census of the people of Israel and register them, each, upon registration, is to pay a ransom for his life to Adonai, to avoid any breakout of plague among them during the time of the census...."

This ransom in the Old Covenant was a shadow of the perfect ransom, which was to come. It was fulfilled, not abolished, in the New Covenant by the priceless body of Jesus Christ. His death paid the ransom for all of our sins. Fulfilled in Matthew 20:28, Jesus paid it all for our sins and our diseases, once and for all thru all ages. To all who believe this is awesome. You see the greater glory of that in the powerlessness of death over a Christian in I Corinthians 15:55-57 because the Christian owes no debt to the grave. The ransom for swallowing up your body in condemnation because of sin was satisfied once for all on the cross of Calvary. You are free to die without fear and enter eternal life with Jesus Christ. "Oh death where is your sting ! Oh grave where is your victory ?" The answer is none and none. All Glory to God thru Jesus Christ !

Real love is a verb whose corresponding and manifested actions we learned from Jesus. It always responds in unequal proportions to how it is received and to whom it is sent. We will fully understand how precious our Christian life is and how much was paid for our salvation when we meet Him face to face and we see Him as He is. For now, we fully embrace the real and eternal love of Jesus Christ that ransomed us. He is blessed forevermore.
Exodus 22:28

Exodus 12
It  is painful to wait on the LORD when things are really difficult. But, if we can only trust God in the day-to-day things and make the best of times of challenges, we will come out in power and glory. Please wait on the Lord in matters of importance that will affect you , us , and many others for generations to come.

                                                                  Exodus 8:21-23
In these troubling times when things all seem to just mesh together and the lines are not always clear, God can do nothing better for us than to set our lives apart from the evils that are coming upon this world. As Almighty God did for the Hebrews when they were in the land of Egypt during the time of the hard heart   of Pharaohs God will do the same for you. He will set you and your household apart from the disasters that are now upon the earth and those that are yet to come. It is the blessing of the righteous to be set apart and have great hope like Goshen in Egypt.

And, that person that you harmed in your past, God has been merciful to them and spared them from your intentions. God's mercies flow both ways. All glory to God who knows how to make the end of a matter more praiseworthy than the beginning thereof.

5 days noon reading Psalm 23
5 days night reading Romans 12

7 lean cows swallowed up 7 fat and beautiful cows. Yet, the 7 lean cows did not change in size or appearance by devouring the 7 fat cows.  7 lean stalks of grain swallowed up 7 healthy stalks of grain. They too did not change in size nor appearance.

      Genesis 28::21-22
Jacob took this vow: “If God will be with me and will guard me on this road that I am traveling, giving me bread to eat and clothes to wear, so that I return to my father’s house in peace, then God will be my God; and this stone, which I have set up as a standing-stone, will be God’s house; and of everything you give me, I will faithfully return one-tenth to you.”
There are some words and some thoughts that can only be expressed by people after they have had a supernatural experience with the Lord God Almighty. Jacob had such an experience and it opened his heart to embrace the God of his forefathers as his God. It was no longer God by default, but my God by my choice. Have you ever experienced such a time in the presence of the Lord where you spoke words like that before God that you have never even thought about before?

If not, pray for that for your life. It moved Jacob so much that he made a vow to God that if God were to allow him to live a life of success and some of the supernatural followed his life, he would bless God with what his father and grandfather had taught him. He not only said he would bless God with a tenth of everything with which God would bless him.  He went deeper  and vowed it. He sealed the matter in the moment. In Jacob's heart after that life-transforming encounter with God overnight, the matter of worship and worth  were settled forever.  Jacob made it a non-negotiable agreement from himself to God that God's blessings on his life should be permanent. His thanksgiving to God would equally be permanent, visible, and tangible, and specific....a tenth of all.

Where are you today ? Can you say such awesome things to God? Are you afraid that God won't be faithful? Are you afraid that you will change your mind and break your vow to God?    It may be time for you to step up and step out of ordinary prayers that yield ordinary results and begin to speak with God like a person of Christian confidence who knows the God that he or she freely worships.
Genesis 18:17

Genesis 3
Journey on in the Bible as we recall how it all came to pas.
Matthew 1-28
When engaging the Scriptures your heart embraces its truth in a way that is different than yesterday. You may weep out loud, weep softly, shout Hallelujah, or find yourself speechless. That is how it is has been this month in engaging the gospels concerning the birth of Jesus Christ. It has brought healing, deliverance and joy to many hearts. Continue in Him and He will continue in you. You will never be same again. The word of God is allowing you to see as God sees. Therefore, you can expect blessings that come from embracing and believing the uncommon word of God.

God is so faithful that even our ancestors who may not have been honorable have a right to be remembered on the pages of history. In every family lineage there are people who did things that are not praiseworthy. But can we discard them? No. They gave birth to someone who gave birth to someone who gave birth to us. We honor the name for the role they played in us being here today.
People do matter to God. Our name does matter to Him individually. The challenge is whether or not His name matters to us, and above all, does the name of His Son Jesus matter to us?
What'sin a name?Life and death are in the name above all names....Jesus the Christ, the Son of the Living God...Immanuel...God with us.
“The virgin will conceive and bear a son,
and they will call Him ‘Immanu El.”    (The name means, “God is with us.”)

Since the kingdom of God suffers so much violence, the children of His kingdom should act in His wisdom. The  proof of wisdom is in the actions it produces. As Christians our actions in all of our affairs as ambassadors of Jesus Christ do matter. Our Christian conduct steeped in wisdom does present or introduce to a fallen world the truth of God's power to save and transform lives thru His Son, Jesus Christ.

Matthew 14
No. Peter refocused his sight, refocused his heart, and refocused his faith. He listened to Jesus, took hold of His hand, and walked back on the water with Jesus in victory to the boat. His name is recorded in the Bible as the only human who walked on water at the Lord's command. In victory, not failure, Peter continued on in life and in ministry. The fact that the Bible tells every single thing about what happened in those few moments on the water is not to condemn Peter. It is to demonstrate God's power to silence the things that terrify us and to remind us that we too will lose heart at times when certain challenges come against us. Jesus forgave Peter immediately. Peter did not have to return to the shore as a failed disciple, but rather as one with a greater understanding of what it requires in a person's  heart to focus on Jesus in difficult challenges. Indeed, this was one more teaching moment for all the disciples who would come to know the reality of the constant threat of death for the name of Jesus.

The waves of the ocean would soon prove to be a small thing  compared to epic challenges that awaited them in the ministry of the gospel.
Peter did not turn from the faith as an apostate who turns from faith in Jesus Christ. For a moment he had become weak in his faith in Jesus. That is common to many Christians. But, when the moment passes and we see how we were weak in that moment of testing, we repent and the Lord forgives us. That is how we should talk about a person who has had a fall in life, truly repented of their sins or weakness, laid hold of Christ and was restored to carry on with life. When we talk about people's failings in the Christian faith, we must tell the whole thing once we hear that they have repented and are now living and walking in victory.  Glory be to God who does not count our sins and weaknesses against us.

Matthew 18:21-35
God requires that as His children we cultivate the grace of releasing people from their offenses against us by true forgiveness from the heart. Hard you say? Yes. Forgiveness for certain types of offenses is difficult. Jesus did not say leave yourself in harm's way to be offended by someone who takes pleasure in hurting others. But, when offense comes to you, forgive them. Jesus is in no way expressing that we should leave ourselves or our loved ones to be hurt by others.
He is asking that in day to day life when family, friends, and enemies offend us we must forgive them as we also desire Him to completely forgive us of our sins against Him and our daily offenses against each other.
Glory to God for His complete forgiveness and for teaching and expecting that from those of us that follow Him.
Books for November
November 28, 2014
If you are reading this and your heart hurts because of something you did in the past to offend God or someone, receive the forgiveness that you asked from the person or from the Lord. The pain in your heart is a sign that you have been sensitized to sin and its unfortunate after-effects.The Lord has forgiven you. Concerning the pain in your heart, don't beat yourself up. Sometimes the pain associated with the regret will go immediately as forgiveness is received.  Sometimes this uncomfortable emotion will go one day at a time.
For today, turn everything over to Jesus. Be still. Trust God that He will see you through. This too will soon pass.
2 Peter 1 writes to Christians as a firm reminder of how precious our lives have become to the Lord since we asked for and received His forgiveness thru Jesus Christ His Son, who is blessed forevermore. God forgives. It is mankind that has a problem with forgiveness. It is worth remembering not to project the unforgiveness of mankind upon a forgiving and a just God.

"For to the man who is good from [God’s] viewpoint he gives wisdom, knowledge and joy; but to the sinner he gives the task of collecting and accumulating things to leave to him who is good from God’s viewpoint."
During the life of people who fear God, He gives them all they need to live life to the full. That does not always mean wealth or material possessions. Life includes 28 seasons in which things will occur to bring laughter, joy, or stress. Ecclesiastes 3
Ecclesiastes 2:26 expresses a great contrast between the way God sees the labor of the righteous and the labor of the sinner. The sinner spends their lives accumulating this and that. The Bible shows that in the end they are likely to  leave it to be enjoyed by good people. Best thing a sinner can do is to accumulate righteousness and a righteous destiny while they are alive so that upon their death, no matter what happens to what they leave behind, they possess the greater testimony of the righteous and the promise of eternal life.
Walk boldly into God's plan for your temporal and eternal prosperity

One of the benefits of Joshua's leadership was immediately broadcasted. He was a fearless, spiritually fortified leader who carried the vision given to him, not the vision he wanted. Joshua had watched Moses long enough to know that the more consistent the vision is, the more productive and profitable the people and their efforts will be.

That was unlike those who walked in the spirit of Korah who wanted nothing better than to usurp the vision that God had given for His people. Instead of unity of the people, Korah's supporters wanted division, chaos and confusion.
Joshua was not only fearless in fighting the enemies in the land, but he also had an unmovable, non-negotiable, reverential fear of God. It never entered his heart to reduce God's kingdom-possessing vision to a man-sized vision promoting self, pride, and diminished values.Great leaders. Godly leaders preserve the vision given to them and take great pains to return to the Lord having fulfilled what was committed to them.
God's men and women know that His vision preserves and perseveres to the end.

As God moved the children of Israel from Egypt to the Promised Land, from bondage to freedom, from scattered living to unity and nationhood under the One True and Living God, He began with a specific plan and a specific man. God chose a visionary, not having a vision of his own, but one who could be trusted to carry God's vision in his heart, above all.

The chosen servant-leader Moses possessed the physical and  spiritual characteristics needed for the seemingly impossible task ahead. He was called by God to take a group of people of varying age groups, spiritual conditions, character distinctions and dysfunctions, and a multitude of  mindsets to where God had prepared for them.  Thru many environmental, personal, spiritual, and physical challenges, God had already prepared a destination for the Israelites that would make the tedious and often tumultuous journey from Egypt worthwhile. But, they had to be led and trust that he who was leading them was hearing from God. Humble, yet sometimes intolerable of bad behavior, compassionate yet straightforward with God's word, prayerful yet given to moments of anger, was their leader Moses.

Having been called as God's mouthpiece, sometimes like a commander, sometimes like an intercessor, sometimes like a father, sometimes like a brother, sometimes like a baby sitter wiping the noses of men and women crying for food and water, Moses was always known to God and many of the people as a man of God. God knew the style of leadership that was needed for that first part of the exodus from Egypt. Moses was careful to keep and share the vision of God's plan to redeem the people from the evil losses of their past in Egypt to prosperity and confidence in the Promised Land.

But, as the people came closer to possessing their inheritance, they lost sight of the Great Vision of the Promised Land, became less mindful of the Law and its holiness, and acted in defiance and provocation to Moses. This called for another style of leadership. Before crossing over into the Promised Land, God moved Moses on to a greater glory.

Enter a new leader and a new style of leadership. Joshua --strong and non-negotiable. He had the spirit of Moses. He  carried the same vision as Moses--get the Israelites the Promised Land kicking, crying, screaming, or willingly. The rest of the book of Joshua narrates a powerful and providential series of events that demonstrate God's faithfulness, beyond their (our) times of unfaithfulness. One undeniable blessing from Joshua is the divine reality that when God gets ready to bring us into new beginnings, no one stops His plan for the advancement and prosperity of His people.

God positions His leaders to execute different styles of leadership in accordance with the assignment to which they are called, the conditions with which they are faced, and ultimately the position into which God wants the people to conform.  As it is written in Ecclesiastes 3, there is a time and season for everything under the sun. Ours is to know what time it is in the Biblical world and what change God is requiring of us as we draw nearer to the second coming of Jesus Christ for His redeemed people.
Yes, be bold and strong! Banish fear and doubt!
Get set for your personal spiritual revival.
Job 40:8

Job 38:2
Titus 3
"For we live by believing and not by seeing"
When a person is passing thru unexplained distress what should our first line of thought be?  Prayer?  Words of encouragement?  Gifts? Money?  Where do you start when you find your friend in such a horrible state that they look like God is far from them ?  Do you start assuming that God had lifted his hand off their lives because of some horrible sin they have committed or are committing? If so, in the case of Job, why did God not let Job die in one of the catastrophes since he sinned so horribly that he deserved nothing good in life?

Things are never always as simple as they appear. The people on whom the favor of God rests will have trials in this life. But, Jesus said not to pull back because of trials. He has overcome the world for us. Ours is to remain prayerful and faithful in Him at all times. Great deliverance will come like a miracle from God.

Proverbs 17:17
Job learned the hard way in the midst of great pain and overwhelming sorrow that whom he thought were his friends were more adversarial than friendly in his time of trial.
How about you? What kind of friend are you? Your friendship is not a style, like the way you write or the way you dress. It should be a deep abiding relationship between two people who are humble enough to admit that God created us with a need for loving and reliable relationships. The Bible is full of healthy references to the beauty and truth that friendship is needed in everyone's life. Even Jesus had real good friends whom He sought out and who sought him out.

If we say all we need in life is Jesus as our friend, it is true. But, on a day to day we interact with people that God created. If we dismiss them all as unnecessary because we have a relationship with Jesus, are we really living a full life? It seems  more rational when we share love with whom we can see and nurture the greatest love of all---our loving and fully surrendered life with Jesus Christ.

There are no Scriptures that say we should live without having at least one great friend or being a great friend. The Bible overflows with Scriptures about how wonderful friends are, how reliable and helpful friends are, how needed friends are especially in times of adversity, and that we must be a blessed friend to someone.

Whether or not you are a true friend will be revealed when your friend is passing through great hardship. Will you give them all your bread, a piece of your bread, or none of your bread at all? How far and how deep is your love for that person you call a friend?.

Our modern culture does not honor Biblical friendship. We are left with a mutant type of friendship that seems to have no real form, and often does not stand up to the tests and storms that come to the lives of those we call friends.
Just something to think about as we renew our understanding of Biblical friendship.

Job had three friends around him that could have stayed home for the way they insulted and accused him during his time of  hardships. On the other hand, King David had Jonathan whose love for each other was deep, rich, resilient, sincere, and there.  Ruth followed Naomi, loved her, comforted her, and allowed her own life to provide for Naomi. Paul was surrounded by church leaders and church members who loved him so much that if no else loved or cared about him tangibly, not just emotionally, those people close to him would have given him their very eyes. That is real friendship.   May God and you make it possible to receive that kind of friendship and to become that kind of friend.
Proverbs 17:17

TOTAL TRANSFORMATION..experiencing the fullness of God
Don't be afraid to take that powerful step of faith to do some new things to experience new results thru Christ. Much of that will begin with your mind being renewed by the word of God. It is a step by step process.
Three things will break forth:
You will perceive anew the presence and the nearness of God and His love.
You will achieve the transformation that your heart and your prayers have been longing for.
"Be transformed by the renewing of your mind"
You won't know what God's word can do until you put His word into action.
Jude 1:3
Jude 1:1 9
Position one: The Tribulation  has already or taking place.
Position three: The Church will be taken out midway through the Tribulation, before the second and worst half of the Great Tribulation begins.
Position five: There will be no Tribulation.
Whichever position you take, the book of Revelation does declare that there will be a Tribulation and it will be dreadful for those who are on the earth at that time. Therefore, according to what position you take, (not including Position five), the greater question is "how should the Church as a body and the Church as individuals be living out our Christian lives?  We will all know the fullness and the exactness of end-time prophecy soon enough.
"Dear friends, you always followed my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away, it is even more important. Work hard to show the results of your salvation, obeying God with deep reverence and fear." Philippians 2:12
Revelation 2
How do you know truth when you are hearing a message? Does it have a specific sound? Does it make you feel differently than when the message is a lie? Who is going to help you discern a message from Satan versus a message from the Lord?
July books of the month.
Zechariah 4
Even people who normally don't rejoice at minor events will rejoice when they see the small work that God has begun with you. What God is doing in your life will become something greater than their imagination.
In Zechariah 4, God placed a plumbline in the hand of  Zerubbabel to start a work that was small in the beginning. What has God placed in your hand? What God has committed to you?
Although the thing that God has committed to you is small now and no one is rejoicing with you because it is small, His Spirit is able to make it grow and stand. Those who cannot see any reason to rejoice now will soon rejoice when they see a minor event become a major work. They will shout " Hallelujah"

2 Thessalonians 2
In 2 Thessalonians 2 we see apostle Paul called to teach a people who seemed to have become comfortable with being spiritually imbalanced thru the many lies they had been taught.
Our challenge as believers is to test those who say they are from God to see if what they are bringing us is truth to bless and strengthen our lives. That reminds us of Jacob who wrestled with the angel at Peniel (Genesis 32:24-28) for God's special blessings above the natural. Ours also is to seek God for His best while not rejecting those sent to us for our advancement. That was the victory for Jacob. He obeyed the messenger of God.

Forgiveness Must Be Complete
Matthew 18 exposes the ways in which unforgiveness  can cause us to act aggressively toward those with whom we have a misunderstanding. God is straightforward about forgiving people and releasing them from our prisons where we treat them with hostility and contempt. He showed how we at times forget how many sins we had committed for which He has fully forgiven, not tortured us. What a beautiful text reminding us that unless we fully forgive from the heart, God is not pleased.
Life within God's boundaries is so much more rewarding than life without boundaries. The children of Israel seemed to learn the hard way that there are more blessings in obedience to God than in rebellion and pleasure. Just like us today, we experience more blessings within God's holiness than when we push the boundaries for moments of pleasure.
                                                                   Ephesians 6

No matter the behavior of your friend's spouse, be mindful of how you correct his or her spouse. You may be saying all the right things but to the wrong person. That can cause great anger among friends. Each husband and wife in loving relationship with each other is beautiful before God. Ephesians 5
May----- we will be eating richly from two powerful books of the Bible.
Experiencing God's generous love in the midst of evil

Like Mordecai, hover prayerfully and diligently, then watch events unfold.
Know that in every part of the world God has Esther's and Mordecai's inside and outside ready to pray for deliverance of those under Satanic attack.
Man's words goes to limited places (127 provinces). God's word goes to the end of the earth.
The great work of some Christians is bringing many to Christ around the world.
See a person with the hand of God on their life, that person is unstoppable.

Wisdom comes from God thru prayer. Poverty is broken by work. God gives us power to get wealth. Wealth comes from hard work. The word of God confers blessings upon the hard worker but warns the lazy person about the hardship of poverty.
There it was, overgrown with thistles; the ground was covered with nettles,
I saw, and I learned this lesson: “I’ll just lie here a bit, rest a little longer,

Over 2000 years ago Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was crucified as the atoning Passover Lamb, not as an annual temple sacrifice, but as the perfect, chosen, spot-free, final and eternal atoning sacrifice whose blood was shed for the sins of all the world.
It pleased God the Father that it should be done that way. That perfect sacrificial Lamb of God was crucified on the cross so that a stubborn goat like me (us) would be transformed into a child (children) of God by faith in that same Passover, Paschal Lamb, Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

    Proverbs 10
No good comes from ill-gotten wealth, but righteousness rescues from death.
does not let the righteous go hungry, but He thwarts the craving of the wicked.
A sensible person gathers in summer, but he who sleeps during harvest is an embarrassment.
The memory of the righteous will be for a blessing, but the reputation of the wicked will rot.
He who walks purely walks securely, but he who walks in crooked ways will be found out.
The speech of the righteous is a fountain of life, but the speech of the wicked is a cover for violence.
On the lips of the intelligent is found wisdom, but a stick is in store for the back of a fool.
The wealth of the rich is his fortified city; the ruin of the poor is their poverty.
He who observes discipline is on the way to life; but he who ignores correction is making a mistake.
When words are many, sin is not lacking; so he who controls his speech is wise.
The lips of the righteous feed many, but fools die for lack of sense.
To a fool, vileness is like a game, as is wisdom to a person of discernment.
When the storm has passed, the wicked are gone; but the righteous are firmly established forever.
The fear of Adonai adds length to life, but the years of the wicked are cut short.
The way of Adonai is a stronghold to the upright but ruin to those who do evil.
The mouth of the righteous brings forth wisdom, but the perverse tongue will be cut off.

When we embrace wisdom, God uses it to make our head a thing of grace and not just a thing of beauty. Thru wisdom, God allows us to soar above the ordinary, even though we appear ordinary to people. When we grab hold of God's wisdom it crowns our lives with the glory of God. When we seek and apply the wisdom of God on a daily basis, we may have started in less than favorable conditions, but God promises us that we will finish in glory and honor.
Get wisdom. Apply it the right way and people will know that you also have  understanding. Use them to promote your life, and then you won't have to depend on people for promotion. Because of the wisdom with which you live your life, God will make people promote you because wisdom makes you trustworthy. Try it for yourself. You will see that when you practice the words of God's wisdom you get the blessings that applied wisdom contains.
Cherish her, and she will exalt you; embrace her, and she will bring you honor;
Proverbs 4:7-9

Many people are waiting on God. But, is it possible that "waiting on God" is just another way of saying  "I am afraid of moving forward?"  Even while you wait on God, which is the righteous thing to do, understand signs and sounds along the way. God often speaks to us in signs and promptings in our hearts. We still hear Him in His still, small voice, especially in His word, the Holy Bible.

Timing in God, not fear of failure, should drive our actions. Just as supernaturally as Almighty God opens Red Seas, He also closes those supernatural paths. Sometimes certain events in the kingdom of God come around once, and after that God moves on to another person and another harvest gathering event. Do not be afraid. Trust in the supernatural power of Almighty God as you walk thru His supernatural paths.   February 27, 2014

In considering your decisions, it takes time to make righteous decisions when things are merged into each other. Sometimes as we go about our daily lives, we are faced with moments where Godliness and ungodliness run so parallel that it takes discernment to notice that a drop of ungodliness in a whole lot of Godliness will yield a bad decision that looks good.
Jesus has given us the power to discern things by His Spirit and by His word. The next set of decisions you will make, step back and look at everything from afar. In you is Christ-- He is greater. His leading will bring you to success, even if it means that you do not do what you thought you should do. The other way would be that of the adversary---the devil, Satan, he that is in the world. Making decisions thru him always contains some truth with a lie, or many lies disguised as truth that lead to temporary success and later a whole lot of unraveling.
Let the greater One in you run your world.

With the many dynamic reaches of media, Christians are exposed to many ministers of God around the world. Numerous voices instructing the church in so many ways....some to God's righteousness, and some to teachings that are far from the word of God.Paul shared a great, practical definition of the role of the local pastor in light of the many voices speaking to believers. He contrasted the role of the local pastor with the itinerant ministers who came into the church at Corinth, cast seed, and moved on.

He wrote that there was an uncommon honor due to those directly leading and closely guiding (shepherd, father) the local church. Paul used the term "father", connoting the same intimate relationship that we have with God the Father. The local shepherd knows our voice, is hurt by our hurts, is blessed by our successes, our children matter and are known by name, our families and marriages matter and their struggles and successes have a profound impact on the pastor. To put a stranger above that intimate shepherd/sheep relationship is therefore an offense.

Over a time, that emotional carnality turned to lukewarm reception for the local pastors whom God had used powerfully to bring them to Christ and to raise them up in Christ. Paul asked the church to cease that behavior. He reminded them that those who pass thru are instructors. But, that he was their father in the Lord. He was God's assigned watchman over their souls. If anyone should be imitated, it should be him. Bold statement. Yes. Self-serving? No. Paul exercised the authority of leadership given to him by the Lord Jesus Christ.
Though you listen to many instructors thru all kinds of media, do not forget the honor and respect that is due to your local pastor. Be imitators of those who labor with you.

"I am not writing you this to make you feel ashamed, but, as my dear children, to confront you and get you to change. For even if you have ten thousand trainers in connection with the Messiah, you do not have many fathers; for in connection with the Messiah Yeshua it was I who became your father by means of the Good News. ThereforeI urge you to imitate me." CJB  I Corinthians 4:14-16

I Corinthians 2:13   " But we have the mind of Christ"
Around 4:00 a.m. this morning the Spirit of God woke me up. The first thing I noticed was that from the top of my head to the soles of my feet all was well with me. The LORD my God had delivered me. The trust that I put in Him for my life had been heard on high. The attack of the enemy had once again been unsuccessful in getting me to lower my faith from violent and aggressive to whimpish and doubtful.

I share this with all of you, but most especially those on the frontline fighting and teaching the people of God how to fight with a strategy of undiluted faith and win thru faith. You are a target, or should I say, your faith in God. You are dangerous to the kingdom of darkness thru Christ. Your mind is no place for idle thoughts. You are weak in and of yourself, but mixed with trust in the Lord your God, you are a force with which to  be reckoned.
of his or her place in the kingdom. But, do we really understand what the mind of Christ is if we are to live out this Scripture? Are we thinking of a place in our bodies to understand a spiritual application?
It is normal to think of our mind as resident in our heart or our head.  But, when the body is cut opened all we see are organs beating and pulsating. We don't see thoughts or emotions.
To really understand Paul's declaration to the church at Corinth that they have the mind of Christ takes a deeper look at the mind as resident in the heart and not the head.He did not say that they should pray for the mind of Christ. He boldly declared that they had the mind of Christ.
So, where is the mind anyway?
Jesus demonstrated how the mind within the heart must be set to please and fulfill the plans of the Father. It never seeks it own fame or gain.
Not only did Jesus have the mind of the Father for those to whom He was sent, He also regarded the mind of the Father for His own internal and external conduct. The same authority with which He executed the plan of God the Father is the same authority with which He ruled His own emotions, thoughts, will, and nature.
Flow in God's grace. Work  less for what has already been given to you.  The better your understanding of God's grace, the deeper the love for God himself...The more fulfilled a life you will live. Less of your effort and more of His grace.

The blessed thing to do when you are praying and believing God for something specific is to leave plenty of room in your heart for Him to be God. That room is called faith. Your faith in God is what you offer up as a sacrifice to allow God the right and the sovereignty  to bring things to pass perfectly, or not at all, if it will take years and beauty from your life. Listen again to your prayers and see if you are allowing God to be God over your prayers, or is He the hired hand who will make things happen for you, the architect of your life.   Let God be God.
When you say the one thing that God wants to speak to you or speak thru you, you will help people to build a momentum that will explode in your and their spirit.
Romans 9:31-33
As Isaiah 43 said we have to perceive it. As John said we have to believe it. As the epistles said we have to receive it. Why go back to life in the shadows when the real and superior thing has already come? Jesus and His grace are real, and they are permanent and fulfilling to all who believe. Amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me....

Deliverance from sin comes when we yield our hearts to obey the doctrine of grace and righteousness, which comes from Christ and which you have been taught. Faith and obedience brings us to total deliverance by the amazing grace of Christ, the deliverer.
This year you will experience great and awesome kindnesses from the Lord God Almighty because that is His nature. But, you may also experience winds of change that will blow into your life. Some will feel more like storms. Those will really tug at your faith. How you resolve them may be in direct proportion not only to your faith in God, but also according to the power in you to withstand until the storm passes, and even learn lessons in the storm.

Every successful year requires commitment to Christ. That allows you to receive the ongoing flow of wisdom to act and react in meaningful ways thru His word. The Bible is the most well read book in the world. It is treasured above all because in it are not mere words on pages, but the voice of God who made the heavens, the earth, all that is in it, and made us in His image. Just as air is needed to breathe, so do we also need the word of God to live. Our commitment to Christ and a full, successful  life is built thru His word.

After God, your next priority should be prayer. Married or single, with children or without, young or mature in age, prayer helps us to stand firmly on the solid foundation of the word of God. Prayer nourishes, connects, communicates, disconnects where necessary, responds, opens and closes doors, and so much more in the best interest of our lives. Thru prayer and time spent with God you can repeatedly and earnestly share your concerns and seek God's guidance.
We can do all things through Christ who gives us strength.  Challenges of daily life can be overcome by our strength thru Jesus. Christ's strength is empowerment given to help us forge ahead or to stand still, according to what is happening at the time in our lives and in the lives of those around us.
